Today on the grid we celebrated 4th of July at our special seasonal party sim – Stonehaven Party Isle. This is one of the wonderful things about OS software is that you can rez a seasonal sim up for parties!!! Here are some pictures from the party!!

Today we had our 1st tour as the newly created Adventure Club. We met up at our shiny new club house..yes we have a club house 🙂 Once we arrived at the club house we were kitted out in our new Adventure Club outfits, thanks to Aaack, Ada & Amy hmmm 3 A’s well that’s a whole other story LOL.
Yes smoking, drinking and laughter is allowed at the club house!!! Everyone was looking fabulous in our club uniform…what was lacking was our booze hip flask..hopefully that will come soon, one needs booze when exploring new places. Our explorers today were Dirk, Aaack, Ada, Amy, lilith, Bae & Camryn.
Once we were all kitted out in our new gear we were ready to head of on our expedition to a place unknowm…The Christmas Region, what wild wonderful things would we find there? What new trinkets would we bring back, and would we survive this expedition?
We boarded our plane for our destination, once over the island we parachuted to the ground and landed in this wondrous place which appeared to be a snow swept island. Once we shed our parachute gear, we planted our flag to let those after us know that the Adventure Club had been there, we then gathered for our traditional group photo.
We set out along pathway that led us to a strange creation, dressed in red with a white beard, what could this creature be? We approached with caution, eyeing up the animal that appear to be guarding this creature, he seemed harmless enough, he beckoned us closes, we did so and we sat around him quietly (hmm ok maybe no so quiet) I managed to snap a picture before we had to quickly scurry away as he appeared to be getting angry with people sitting all over him.
We ran for our lives towards a clearing with bright lights, as we ran we the smell of food and wine wafted about the place, we came to a stop and there it was before our very eyes and wonderful setting, with tables, chairs and food, before I could say anything Ada pushed me out of the way and ran to the table to feast upon the delightful pickings. As we watched Ada gorge upon the food we wandered about the place, some of the team danced atop the tables, some sipped wine from the crystal glasses…while others..not mentioning any names..Aaaack….sat upon the food!!!
We filled our pockets with what we could from the table, Ada had now finished gorging herself, we spied a clearing in the distance we made our through the thick snow, we we discovered a ice lake with a huge tree decorated with lights and such. Aaack climbed his way up this wondrous tree making it to the very top and sat upon it like an angel with wings spread wide!!!
We walked upon the ice treading carefully so as to not crack it, we spied upon the hill a castle, what treasures did this castle hold? We made our way into the castle and discovered a family of little people, elves, that appeared to be creating items of some festive nature.
We left the happy little creatures to continue their work and made our way through the snow covered forest, we then came upon a vehicle with animals tethered to it we climb on the vehicle then quite by sudden we were lifted into the air flying high above the island, from here we could see just how beautiful it was, a place full of snow, colour and wonder.
After our ride was over, we landed safely on the ground again, from the sky i spied a area that look cosy and inviting, I gathered the team and we headed to this spot, here we found a warm fire, comfy chairs and hot cocoa, so there we sat and talked of our adventure.

We have some new stores that have opened since the last grid meeting.
Ada Wong has opened a new store Les Visages – skin & make up on Littlefield NE.
Bubbles Journey has opened a lighting store on Littlefield NE.
Also if you choose can you please decorate your stores for the Christmas Season
Littlefield East is our newest region. The grand opening of Sound City, a nightclub for blues, jazz and live music performances, was last Tuesday. Khiron Ametza performed live, and it was a fabulous night.
We also have a brand new roller skating rink. If you would like to hold an event at the rink please let an Admin know. Roller skates are available at the rink.
A movie theatre is under construction there also.

In keeping with our Littlefield tradition, all public regions will be winterised. You can pick up Christmas decorations at Home for the Holidays Littlefield SW, and winter landscaping at Littlefield Garden Center.
Christmas tree in skating square in Littlefield – anyone can decorate the tree with ornaments. Make your own and add them! The tree will be build/script enabled for you to add your Christmas touch to it.
Decorations are available at Home for the Holidays in Littlefield SW. Please consider decorating your Littlefield store.
A 2nd audio stream is available through to Jan 6th with only Christmas music all the time check inworld for the music URL.
Our website is in the process of being changed by Ashton…he has written a custom code for us
We will be upgrading some of the infrastructure around Feb/March. (grid server, hoping to make it twice as powerful as it is now) we are at about 15% capacity now… all the funds we receive from renters go back into the grid. In Nov we gained around 83 new users.
We have been approved for Bitcoin. Walter will investigate Bitcoin for use here, but not for commerce, just for paying rental tier, as some members cannot use PayPal.
We have moved everyone to Release 2 of version 8.0, newer releases have some bugs at the moment.
Avatar physics may be coming to Opensim. It seems to be a simple fix, and Cinder has supplied Justin with the code. Not sure if he will implement it yet.

Happy Halloween!!!
Tonight is our 1st annual Halloween party on our new grid. When we were on another grid, we had a seasonal Halloween region that we would rezz up for Halloween, so this is the first time we’ve had it up and running on LFgrid. We had a wonderful array of costumes at the dance.
For those who couldn’t attend, here is a synopsis of the Grid Meeting, October 4, 2013.
The Hypergrid “4096 bug” has been fixed, which prevented people from hopping long distances in the hypergrid. Firestorm developers Tonya and Cinder did the work on regions provided by Littlefield Grid. Congrats to the developers for solving this problem.
Several people from Littlefield Grid attended the Opensim Community Conference in September. It was a great way to meet people and make contacts from other grids and find out what interesting things are going on around the Opensim world. The conference was very well organized. We are looking forward to next year.
New stores just opened in Littlefield: Kayla’s Designs, in the Victorian village, Littlefield NE – Gorean themed clothing for men and women; Nightfire, in the Adult Mall – adult furniture; Erotique, in the Adult Mall – erotic photos; and Anam Cara Designs, in Littlefield – women’s clothing (Stormm Firecaster).
You can now send group notices that will be delivered to everyone, even offline users, but only if you send the notice from WLFG radio station, located behind the photo store. Just walk into the station, and stand there while you send your notice.
Stonehaven Party Isle opened for Halloween effective October 1. Drop in for some spooky fun.
The Coney Island region is scheduled to open in November. It is a combination of New York’s Coney Island and New Jersey’s Wildwood boardwalk and beach. It has rides and little stores on the boardwalk, a tram car, a video game arcade, and an undersea scuba diving region.
Littlefield Grid continues to grow quickly, and we now have over 600 members in just 6 months and 154 regions.

We have rezzed up Stonehaven Party Isle for the 4th of July celebrations, the celebrations kicked off yesterday with the lucky Americans who had the day off spending time partying, dancing and making mischief on the party sim.
We wish all our American friends a happy Independence Day!!!
Regular Saturday night dance on LFgrid will be held on the party sim 8pm PDT(grid time) Come celebrate 4th of July at Littlefield Grid!! Stonehaven Party Island BBQ Bash! Pool, DJ, Water Slide, Log Flume, Food, Drinks and Fun!!!

Littlefield greeted the new year in with style this year, we had a formal dance at our seasonal party sim Stonehaven Party Isle. The place was jumping with guests all dressed up to the nines. At midnight PST we gathered to watch the ball drop and some fabulous fireworks, scripted by our wonderful Dirk Mathers.

Littlefield will have their annual Christmas and NYE parties this year on the Stonehaven Party Isle region in OSGrid. The Christmas event is come as you are with live DJ, Dancing, food, etc.. The NYE party will be formal (tuxes are available for men, and you can find gowns for the women at the Littlefield Mall). There will be a ball drop at Midnight PST with fireworks!

When you first arrive at the sim, try the Bob for Apples & Kiss a Linden to win a prize!!!
Take the hayride around the sim, but beware keep your hands in the wagon at all times…..

Or if you need a rest and don’t feel like driving home, why not stop at the Bates Motel, just beware the shower!!! and sleep with one eye open at all times…
